Course Brief

Course Dates: February 1, 2022- March 29,2022 (16 sessions/8 weeks)
Course Days: Tuesday and Wednesday
Course Timings: 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Course Fee: Rs 16,000

The course is designed to develop and polish basic drawing and painting skills through a series of assignments and activities. Introduction to drawing and painting skills will help students learn about about basic drawing and painting methods including blending, rendering, drawing and observation through portraits, still life and creative concepts. The students will be introduced to a variety of drawing and painting media and will be able to identify the characteristics of objects they come across on a daily basis.

Learning Outcomes

Learn to work with line, space, composition, tonal observation, perspective, and rendering.
Learn the basics of simple colour mixing and use of colour palettes.
Learn how to apply your paints with a range of different media and brushstrokes.
Develop the ability to draw, then paint your drawings.
The student will accomplish the following skills

  • basic drawing techniques
  • rendering through observation
  • create atmosphere & mood in painting
  • color mixing
  • palate preparation
  • application of color and color theories

  • Drawing board 18”×24”
  • 2 Cartridge Sheets 18”x 24”inches
  • 2 Newsprints 20 x 30 inches
  • 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B, 9B pencils
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener
  • Paper cutter
  • Masking tape

  • Charcoal pencil or stick
  • Paint brushes (flat and round)
  • Acrylic paints
  • Palette for paint mixing (large)
  • 4 Canvas (approx.18”×24”or 20”x30”)
  • Painting knives
  • Rags
  • Bowls (2 small plastic ones)
