INTRODUCTION:

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic knowledge of fashion design. The course will familiarize students with fashion terminologies with full understanding of the content. They will discover various fashion markets and how they influence and target an audience. They will explore how the fashion industry works and how fashion has evolved over time. Hands on basic machine and hand sewing will be taught. Understanding the process from ideation to final outcome of a basic garment (tunic).

By the end of the two-month extensive engagement with ITC students will have a basic grasp of the fashion world and how it runs. This will run parallel with stitching and pattern making techniques.

AN INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH DIRECTOR OF IMAGE PAKISTAN:

Student will get to meet and spend time with one of the Creative Directors of IMAGE Pakistan Limited, Ms. Marium Ahmad (Creative Head of the brand) who will share her expertise on branding with the students.

FACTORY VISIT TO IMAGE PAKISTAN LIMITED:

ITC will arrange a factory visit for students, enabling a firsthand experience of meeting designers behind IMAGE. Students will see the whole process of production from design concept to final outcome.

IMAGE STORE VISIT DOLMEN MALL CLIFTON/TIPU SULTAN ROAD:

ITC will arrange a visit to Image stores for students to understand customer services and visual display philosophy of the brand. They will interact with the floor managers and sales representatives.

STUDENTS WILL GET BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON:
